Through consultation with RemitDATA staff, MBI designers and account managers were able to assess their needs and present a product and design plan that addressed RemitDATA's desired image and workflow needs and opportunities.
RemitDATA's office space is completely open, with wood flooring and has no interior offices, causing a problem in controlling noise. Therefore, capret was recommended for approximately 1/3 of their floor space, and by turning workstations to face opposing walls and placing screens between each workstation, MBI improved noise control and privacy. To address future growth and expansion, and furniture that was inidcative of the high-tech nature of their business, RemitDATA was presented with a design of sleek furniture that did not take up unnecessary space.
"The redesign has definitely increased employee morale. What's more, efficiency has been improved due to fewer distractions," says Caleb Dixon, Director of Operations at RemitDATA. "Productivity and our actual volume of calls are constantly going up and I attribute some of that to MBI's design and the function of their products because everything is arranged according to our workflow. I have a lot more work space, and I can actually have private conversations, yet still hear my staff if they need me. Prior the new design, I couldn't turn off the distractions and now I can."
Throughout the entire process, the one service provided by MBI that stands out is MBI's excellent design service. According to Caleb, "that was the deciding factor and the distinction that made the difference." RemitDATA had met with other companies that could deliver similar products at a lesser cost, but they offered far less service. "The whole process was very smooth and it enabled us to transform an office into a very attractive and user-friendly space."
