The MBI team met with Cornerstone to understand the full extent of their needs, both for furniture and design/space planning. MBI designers worked closely with contractors to make the most efficient use of the new space. Cornerstone interviewed its employees to get feedback on improving the “cubicle maze” issue that existed in their former space. The MBI team listened carefully and helped Cornerstone select workstations with shorter walls, and even some with see-through panels, to encourage teamwork and collaboration for groups who work closely together. “Our people spent a lot of one on one time with the MBI team. They were right there anytime we needed them,” says Cornerstone Chairman/CEO, Rick Rodell. The MBI designers worked in step with Cornerstone’s interior designer to create a warm, inviting break area that feels more like an eat-in kitchen than an office lunchroom. Cornerstone brought existing furniture for their executive offices, and employed MBIs superior layout skills to create striking, efficient spaces for the executive group. Says Rodell, “We’re very pleased with what MBI has helped us create. Our new space is exactly what we wanted.”
