Understanding the extent of services needed, and having worked successfully with MBI in the past, Boucher called on the team at MBI. “MBI has always been very responsive, so I felt confident calling on them to help us again,” she says. The MBI team met regularly with Boucher to keep abreast of the construction and to make sure that the project stayed on target. In these meetings, MBI assessed BDO’s needs and advised on furniture selections as well as workstation configurations and layout options. Having employees with varying tasks, BDO needed to make sure that workstations fit the work being performed. To this end, MBI created a group of workstations in varying sizes and differing storage capacities to meet the BDO team’s needs. Taking into consideration the unusual design of the building, MBI designers also planned the new space to maximize efficiency while maintaining the integrity and beauty of the new furniture BDO had chosen. Some furniture was custom fitted to the unique office dimensions. The MBI team also worked with Boucher to ensure that all BDO design standards were executed accurately and in harmony with the rest of the design. In fact, some of the MBI ideas are being considered as new BDO design standards. Once construction was complete, the MBI installation team went straight to work and had the space ready for move-in on schedule. “We had a tight schedule, and they were right on time. We moved in the day we planned and were functional right away,” says Boucher.
